NSO was dissolved into 3 brothers organizations which include the State Security Service SSS also called DSS, the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

Since then the DSS has evolved to have different duties and officials rank in a bid to secure the nation. Mainly, the Nigeria SSS is saddled with the responsibility of protecting the country as a whole. They are expected to identify threats targeting the country and counter them. Whether it is involving the senior government officials in the country, public properties or ambassadors, and other individuals in the country.

Nigeria SSS Ranks, Salary Structure and Activities

Nigeria State Security Service SSS or DSS has 16 ranks of different officials at different levels. The DSS ranks range from the Non-officers who are the lowest to the junior officers to the senior ones and the high ranking ones. In the Nigeria SSS ranks, the lowest official in the DSS is the recruiting officer who earns the lowest salary per month.
